The Long Johns Announce “Barnyard Bangers” National Tour

The Long Johns are hitchin’ up the wagons and hittin’ the road with a national tour traversing fresh territory and revisiting some former with a few of their favourite things; Barbecue, Beer, Beach and Hot Rods. Across four states including WA, VIC, NSW and QLD from the tail of March through mid May. You can catch them at Lefty's Old Time Music Hall in Brisbane with Cigany Weaver Fri April 12th

Following the Brisbane based acts debut at Woodford Folk Festival in 2016, 2018 has seen the group hot on the festival circuit while also receiving nomination for a Queensland Music award and their latest single “Hound Dog” added to ABC rotation, making 2018 a clover year.

The four piece rag tag troupe, likened to a bastardised Janis Joplin Bluegrass garnished with your old pa’s ashes for some hints of old timey flavour and 1940’s skiffle, feature a lineup of banjos, sousaphone, national guitar, pots ’n’ pans and the skeletons from your closet
